Hurricane Elsa left us without much rain or wind. I was so relieved. A colleague invited me to stay with them, but I decided to stay home. The track was about 30 miles off the coast, so I wasn't scared. By the time it reached our area, it was a category 1 hurricane. I did expect heavy winds and rain, so I took down hanging flower pots and bird feeders. Fortunately, when Elsa was passing us, the area was between two rain bands, so we didn't get hurricane-force winds.
The only damage was a broken moringa tree. It was a pencil thin tree, so no wonder the top broke. I stuck the broken piece in a pot. π
Lately I have been using garden produce in my meals. I made moringa curry, green papaya mallung, katuk (Sauropus androgynus) mallung and sautΓ©ed sweet potato leaves.

Now, here's very exciting news. π I won a bicycle. There was a month-long hydration challenge organized by our HR department and the health insurance company. Participants had to set a goal, record their daily water intake, and send a weekly log. It was not a competition, but there were several prizes. The grand prize was a bicycle. I never thought I'd win, but I did. This morning I went and picked up the bike.
Now I must learn how to ride a bike properly. π
Take care everyone. Stay safe. π»π»π»
