This morning I was browsing through my old blog posts and noticed that I had been very active in 2019. As you can see in the blog archive, 2019 has the most number of posts. 2017 comes in a close second.

When I started blogging, I found many bloggers who appreciated simple, frugal living. I felt so comfortable among them, and I was able to freely express my ideas, my way of living.
Back then I wrote weekly goals and to-do lists, learned money saving ideas from others and shared my own frugal activities, participated in photo scavenger hunts, and was way more active.
I don't know what happened, as it was gradual, but somehow my life became busier and more stressful. Many things including family obligations, writing deadlines, and career responsibilities kept me busy and away from blogging. But, a part of me always missed my blog friends. Now I really want to go back to my former slower paced life, where I had more time for gardening, crafting, photo scavenger hunting, and day trips. I want to limit my time on social media. And most importantly, I really want to (and need to) get back to my frugal life style as I have deviated from it somewhat.
I know I can do that by coming back to blogland, and be with like minded people. I have always found inspiration and motivation here.
So, I am determined to be more active in blogland again. I hope to read your blogs and comment more often. 😊
Take care everyone. Stay safe.

I'm sure you will quickly get back to the life style you want; maybe things will be less hectic this summer and you'll have time to take things more slowly. I must say it's lovely to see you posting again. :)

DeleteI agree with you about sometimes taking a social media break is a good idea to re-centre yourself.

DeleteHi Nil, I have always enjoyed reading your blog and was happy to see that you are back! I try to publish twice a week but I notice there are months that I just don't have the time. Also, more recently since I switched from being a vegetarian to a vegan, my meals are very simple and I do not have as many new recipes to share.
ReplyDeleteThough I eat fish, I rarely eat meat now and I am constantly looking for different types of protein sources. Vegetarian, vegan both are fine.
DeleteI just saw your scrambled tofu recipe. I am going to try it. :)
