Christmas is just one day away. I don't celebrate Christmas as a religious event, but I enjoy going to see Christmas lights and seeing how others decorate their homes.

We had a couple of very windy days and it's cold outside. So I didn't do any yard work.
I decluttered several boxes in the spare bedroom. I had put the boxes there when I moved in and didn't bother to open them. Obviously that means that the stuff in those boxes are not essential. There were extra table cloths, two blankets, a stack of empty photo frames, several boxes of jigsaw puzzles and boxes of old checks. The room looks a lot tidier now.
I went to a thrift store where they had a storewide 50% off sale. I got wool yarn for $1.25 each, 10 Christmas cards ($0.50), a book ($0.50), a roll of ribbon ($0.40), a card of snaps ($0.50) and fusible interfacing ($0.30).
Results of this week's to-do list:
1) Mend clothes.
2) Shop for sofa fabric.
3)Cut more quilt blocks.
4) fertilize potted plants.
6)Declutter the spare room.
7) Do yoga.
8)Sleep 7 hrs.

DeleteI love looking at the Christmas lights too, Nil. We don't decorate outside, but I like to look at the homes where people do decorate outside. I also like it when I can see their tree inside too. Some people go to so much effort. It turned cold here last night and there is snow on the mountain. None down here, but it is beautiful to look at. You did good at the thrift store. I am hoping to go thrift shopping while I'm off too as I enjoy it so much. I hope you have a great day. :)

You found some excellent bargains at the thrift store! Once you've learned how to knit or crochet, you can make yourself a nice warm scarf with that wool! Just remember to handwash it, and lay it flat to dry. Wool will become felt and shrink if washed and dried in a machine. Ask me how I know! LOL!
